MET call team behaviour

MET calls are an example of the formation of an ad hoc team around a deteriorating patient. Each aspect of the team’s function can be understood in the ‘Ad Hoc team process’. The MET registrar must assist in each aspect of the MET behaviour where contemporaneous assessment, diagnosis and management must occur, often with team members who are not well known.
