Rostering & Education
Generally the roster is 4 – 6 days/nights on then 4 – 6 days off – amazing!
- Monday 1330 morbidity/mortality meeting conference room (registrars prepare this)
- Wednesday 1200- 1700 there is teaching involving a consultant led session, HMO presentation, Registrar presentation and simulation– meet in the conference room. You can attend as the HMO if you have done all of the ward jobs and there are no active issues on the ward you are required to help out with. The ward consultant will have the registrar phone and will act as the registrar during this time.
- It can be difficult to get all your jobs done if you are rostered on, so be organised; ask the registrar for help if it can be provided as well as the medical students. We are all a team, so work together and all the important tasks will get done on time.
